Hmm, Frugal Dad isn't much of a media scholar. It is false to say GE owns Comcast, or really NBC anymore either. The stat about 232 executives controlling content also flattens out the agency of millions who work in media industries and make significant decisions every day. Infographics are a good way to misunderstand what matters about media ownership.

My main problem with the series - both the books and the movies - is the glorification of the abusive relationship that's at the forefront. And I remind my cousins of that when they get all gushy about it.
I'll admit, however, that I watch the movies with a friend to mock it relentlessly, and wait for Jacob to take his shirt off.
I'm picky enough about film and TV to know what I like, and exactly what I don't like. And my main problem with Twilight is that it's telling my teenage cousins that it's okay to be in a controlling relationship, and it's not.
But that's me.
