Writing & Directing Diversity

A new DGA study finds "some progress overall" in the hiring of women and minority directors for TV, but some outlets, like Netflix, have much more progress to be made. Liz Shannon Miller points out that increased episode volumes have brought more opportunities.

In terms of TV writing, Tracy Jan reports on a new study finding that white writers are still telling the vast majority of our small-screen stories.
