Leftovers Writing

The Leftovers, which ends on Sunday, is generating a lot of deeply affecting writing from critics. Here are a few premier selections: In a stunner of an essay, Maureen Ryan discusses the show through her own personal lens of loss and grief. Emily Nussbaum analyzes the show's depiction of intimate grief. Matt Zoller Seitz and Leftovers showrunner Damon Lindelof talked about the genesis of the Season 3 Matt-focused episode, which Seitz unknowingly influenced. Alison Herman declares The Leftovers the best show on TV. And finally, if you're watching the show, I highly recommend Alan Sepinwall's reviews. (Tweet other Leftovers writing you're impressed by to @crsbecker, and I'll add them to this post.)
