Netflix announced new subscriber growth yesterday, which boosted its stock. Robert Briel reports that both Netflix and Amazon are ramping up programming investment, and Lucas Shaw says some in Hollywood are getting frustrated with Netflix's aggressiveness. Relativity Media has brought suit against Netflix over an output deal that went south. In the international scope, Netflix has given up on expanding to China for now, while it is aggressively battling against geoblocking circumvention services.
