At a breakfast event this morning, FX claimed that The People vs. OJ Simpson finished its series run as the most-watched new cable show of the year. FX's researchers also dismissed BuzzFeed's bragging about high viewership of a watermelon exploding on Facebook live compared to TV ratings, and Oriana Schwindt explains why BuzzFeed's comparative ratings logic is flawed. At the same event, a few of execs said they expect Netflix will eventually release ratings. Rick Kissell looks at how The Voice has helped other NBC programming as a ratings lead-in.
