Murphy = Weiner
Cory Barker proposes parallels between Ryan Murphy and Matthew Weiner as showrunners: "It is my assertion that these two powerful men approach individual episodes and full-seasons in a very similar fashion and that they appear to have similar hopes for how individual episodes relate to one another and work to complete an entire season. Although Murphy and Weiner execute their stories in dissimilar fashion (and quality, obviously), both writers deal in big themes and like to create a sense of “completion” by the time a season of their respective series comes to an end."
