I hesitated to link to this because in the comments section the author has basically backed down already, which makes it seem sort of pointless in the end, but in addressing the nature of television criticism, the post and the reviewers in the comments section raise issues worth mulling over: James Leask expresses some complaints about TV criticism at the AV Club.
