News News

I won't be back home from SCMS until tomorrow night, but I have a little time now to link to some articles from the past few days.

First up, some news about news: James Poniewozik considers how TV news coverage will be tested in covering the horrible events in Japan. CNN en Espanol is undergoing an overhaul. The issue of NPR defunding is more complicated than it may seem, the NPR sting video is more complicated than initially reported, James O'Keefe knows how to play to the news media (without complexity, of course), and Eric Deggans says O'Keefe offers journalism as bad reality TV. And James Fallows says digital upstarts are pointing the way to new ways of news media.
