Good TVeets

aperren : Trying to cram the history of the pre-1985 TV industry into 75 minutes. What are the odds I can accomplish this?
fymaxwell : Uncle Miltie Ed Murrow Luv Lucy Disneyland Quiz Show Wasteland Civil Rights Vietnam Relevance Finsyn MTM JiggleTV Superstation
noelrk : Now just set it to We Didn't Start the Fire and you're done.

fymaxwell : #Survivor  They need to start sticking hidden immunity idols in Marty's ass while he's sleeping, b/c once he's eliminated this season dies. ... This would have been a great season of #Survivor for a medical evacuation.

ambienceofmedia : #Terriers is coming up on for east coast and satellite peeps. I'm going to drink so Hank won't have to.

TVKel : I've tried plot, acting, wedding, shirtless Britt. What else can be hook for viewers? Dancing w/ #Terriers 2nite! http://tinyurl.com/23bvyxt

theonetruebix : Upside of 13-episode cable seasons: compact, efficient storytelling. Downside: little time to build from small audience. #terriers

jmonjo : Just so everyone knows, if #Terriers gets cancelled, I'm going to irrationally take it out on every other surviving show on television. Even the ones I like. ESPECIALLY the ones I like.
weinmanj : That's what I do. The awesome thing about TV fandom is it's all about slots so everything succeeds at the expense of something else. Therefore if a show we like gets canceled it's the fault of EVERY OTHER SHOW that survived. So let it be written, so let it be done.

wcdixon : Know they mean well, but every TV critic practically ordering me to watch #Terriers (with 'loser' implied if I don't) might not be helping.

jmittell : I really want to live in the world where ABC picked up the Mulholland Drive pilot.

maskedscheduler : RT @THR: EXCLUSIVE: Jeff Gaspin Leaving NBC Universal> Jeff Zucker left a flaming bag of shit on his doorstep, rang the bell and ran. Too bad.

BrentPiaskoski : Tried to watch Sons of Anarchy again. I get why people like it but come on, people, it is no Wild Hogs.

scharpling : Every single person involved in the Burger King “human hamburger” ad campaign should be thrown in jail.

johnmoe : Me? Just sitting around trying to rank my favorite Marriage Ref episodes. Again.

MattMitovich : For next TCA biz meeting, can we vote to stop asking Arrested Development alums about the film that'll never happen?
HitFixDaniel : Hurwitz started volunteering his empty answers about the movie that'll never happen. It's that or talk about Running Wilde.
MattMitovich : Well, if that's the case can we turn Running Wilde into a series about Olivia Wilde's jogging hobby?

HitFixDaniel : Outside of Monday's Hawaii 5-Zero, has anybody anywhere ever told anybody w/a question to “Bing It”?
nprmonkeysee : Wow, really? That's more unrealistic than last night's Glee!
travisyanan : Bada Bing it?

calibadger : so safe to assume most critics are dems? ~RT@TheLiveFeed: Republicans love TV hits, Dems prefer shows about 'damaged people' ~http://bit.ly/c6SSpU

vulture : Watch Conan Read a List of Silly Euphemisms to his TBS Censor. http://nym.ag/9O8vkI

elibraden : This headline just sounds dirty. RT @comedynews: George W. Bush Invited to Come on Jon Stewart http://tinyurl.com/23rc2jc

DerekLong08 : The only bad thing about Conan being back is that my George Lopez exposure levels are now exponentially higher.

KayReindl : Yeah. This will totally fit w/CBS's demo - CBS To Remake The Wild Wild West With Writers Ron Moore And Naren Shankar http://bit.ly/aG3HOM

standupkid : So Lou Dobbs signs with Fox Business. How could that not have happened already?

brianstelter : But it's shared with so many partners... RT @ChloeS At #NTVLive, @JasonKilar shares @Hulu's revenue for the first time: 240MM in 2010.

weinmanj : The Good Wife ratings are a depressing indictment of 18-49: in total viewers, it's a hit, in Coveted Demographic it's a bubble show.
BrentPiaskoski : The only way The Good Wife could be better is if the firm defended zombies.
weinmanj : That would improve its Coveted Demo ratings and decrease its popularity w/ viewers who Don't Count so I expect it to happen.

JBFlint : Almost thought the writers of Two and a Half Men had taken over The Good Wife tonight.

ITveee : #TheGoodWife is making with the fantastic tonight. And Will keeps flashing his thousand watt smile. I love this show.

fymaxwell : Count me in. 'Deadliest Catch' producer's new show 'Whisker Wars' follows men who grow facial hair competitively. ~http://bit.ly/9PybfL

standupkid : Set up AppleTV last night. Cable, I think your days are numbered.

weinmanj : I'm really enjoying AV Club's new series on shows nobody watches except everybody. This week, @NoelMu on NCIS. http://tinyurl.com/22mnsam

pkafka : If could remember the brands that advertise on the godawful in-taxi tvs, I'd make a point of boycotting them.

jacobtwop : It gets better. Or sometimes they kiss you and it's super weird. #glee

Memles : Commenter on my #Glee review actually had his high school bully kiss him. Glee = Reality after all? ~http://bit.ly/aTkFr2
weinmanj : That's the funny thing about fictional realism: we can't say it would never happen (in fact, that scenario can & does exist) ... the realism issue not so much that it couldn't happen but that it seems less likely to happen than other alternative situations  It's similar to how fictional characters need to behave much more consistently than real people if they're going to be realistic.

nprmonkeysee : Turns out Tolerance Narnia has no room for anyone who didn't like last night's episode of Glee. Ironic!
poniewozik : Cf. the Lost finale, when you'd get pilloried for hating insufficiently. Way of the world.

HitFixDaniel : A new Glee regular? Yawn. I'd rather if they'd promote "quality" to a regular role. It's barely recurred.

JaneEspenson : All my time on H'wood lots, I've never had an office inside a facade-fronted building til now. It's workplace-as-mullet. Colonial home in front, business in the back.

TVWithoutPity : Lesson learned on #NoOrdinaryFamily: girls are intuitive; boys are smart. Excuse us as we lose all interest in the show. http://ht.ly/37xe4

jennicaharper : Thanks, working on a sitcom, for making me completely unfit for polite company.

annerhodesmoore : Today's drivetime fantasy: I am a finalist on American Idol but I lose because I can't get through Reba McEntire's Fancy without weeping.

tvoti : #Community this week is about 15 flavors of awesomeness. It is a better episode than your mom could make.

apresledeluge : RT @hijinksensue: Spoiler alert for every episode of Ghost Hunters: they don't find a ghost. / / DAMN IT TWITTER, WHY DO YOU RUIN EVERYTHING?

HitFixDaniel : Life Unexpected is unique in that every single character is doing the wrong thing ALL THE TIME.

sononick : And competing for this year's Nate Fisher Excellence in Jackassery Award, it's Lux from #LUX.

weinmanj : Happened to stumble on a recent episode of Suite Life On Deck. At what point did it go completely insane?
BrentPiaskoski : And by stumble, you mean PVRd it.
weinmanj : Not exactly but I'll admit that when it comes to TV viewing, there are no accidents. It's like running people over.
